Seminar in Kyiv on “Civil participation in political decision-making processes: Ukrainian path to European standards”

On 14 – 15 November there will be a Seminar about “Civil participation in political decision-making processes: Ukrainian path to European standards” in Kyiv.

Speakers of the event will include: Igor Kogut, Director of the Ukrainian School of Political Studies, Vladimir Ristovski, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine, Vera John-Mikolajewski, Vice-President of the Democracy, Social Cohesion and Global Challenges Committee of the Conference of INGOs of the Council of Europe, and representatives from Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum.

For ALDA, our Director Antonella Valmorbida will participate at the seminar with a speech about good practices and the future LDA Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine.

The seminar will be divided into five sessions: Panel discussion, Ukrainian path to participatory democracy; European principles, standard and practice of civil participation in political decision-making processes; Cooperation between NGO’s and executive branch; How NGO’s can effectively cooperate with the Parliament; Prospect of Participatory democracy for Ukraine, local and regional levels.
