Association for Integration and Migration-SIMI is a human rights non-profit organization defending rights of migrants and refugees in the Czech Republic for over 25 years. Its core activity lays in provision of the free of charge legal, social and psychosocial counselling. Furthermore, SIMI works with the general public to promote tolerance and combat xenophobia and racism by organising a large number of events, debates, trainings to migrants as well as relevant stakeholders, running online tools to foster intercultural dialogue and various raising awareness campaigns. Within its advocacy and policy activities, it seeks to influence migration and asylum policies and legislation. SIMI has been active in the area of policy analysis, research, or good practice assessment as well. SIMI is a member of several EU based networks and national consultative bodies. SIMI is the unique and sole Czech NGO, which focuses on intersection of defending migrants´ and women´s rights.
