The Local Democracy Agency Mariupol was established in December 2017, with the aim of implementing democracy best-practices in Mariupol in order to develop a productive dialogue between the community and the local government as well as to support participatory democracy tools for a fair and sustainable development.
Following the Russian invasion on Ukraine, on February 2022, all the LDA staff was relocated to Kyiv and switched to a remote type of work. The focus is to make the LDA operational again and continue the cooperation with the municipal authorities in keeping the connection with the citizens, wherever they are.
