ALDA supports other stakeholders – local and regional authorities, civil society organizations, educational institutions – by providing a wide range of services such as training and capacity building activities, technical assistance, and ad hoc consultancy on different topics, including: project development and implementation, project financial management and audit, EU institutions, EU funds and programmes, citizens participation (methods and techniques), non formal youth education.
These services are provided with a tailor-made approach, thus target the specific needs of the partners involved.
The European Association for Local Democracy is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to the promotion of good governance and citizen participation at the local level. ALDA focuses on activities that facilitate cooperation between local authorities and civil society.
On July 31st, the LDA Tunisia together with the Youth Economic Chamber organised a joint event in Kairouan to celebrate the key role of African women in the Continent and beyond.Read more

Remember the Student Talent Bank project? It took place from November 2017 to December 2019. July 15th, 2020 marked a moment of special pride as ALDA received an unexpected letter by the Erasmus+ Agency in France; one which officially gave the Student Talent Bank project the label of “Bonne Pratique”, exemplary good practice!
Covid-19 certainly didn’t stop the third annual event of the European Migrants Entrepreneurship Network (EMEN) project! On the contrary, in the month of June the EMEN Consortium hosted a series of four webinars on the subject of “unlocking diversity”, where each webinar analysed the way diversity specifically contributes to the development of new businesses and to the better inclusion and integration of vulnerable groups into society and cities. In the particular context of Covid-19, this was also a time to reflect on the capacities of migrant entrepreneurs to overcome crises.Read more
