At a glance
I4E aims to boost political participation by developing solutions for and with citizens living in peri-urban and rural areas. The project will combat the feeling of disenfranchisement with politics and abstention by promoting European values and inviting the public to contribute their ideas.
Objectives
The objectives of the I4E project can be sum up as follow:
1. Boosting citizens’ awareness of rights and values and increasing their degree of engagement in society and with the EU
2. Enabling people to deepen their knowledge of the EU institutions and policies, and better understand the EU’s achievements and benefits, as well as reflect on solutions for current challenges within the EU
3. Strengthening democratic participation, with a special focus on inclusion of younger and older people, women in all their diversity, mobile EU citizens and people with disabilities
