The project was designed to raise awareness of the importance of sport and physical activity. The project was conceived to promote voluntary activities in sport, together with social inclusion, equal opportunities, health, and well-being. These goals were achieved by stimulating increasing participation in, and equal access to, sport for all, including people with diabetes or physical disabilities.
- Promoting voluntary work in sports associations of runners, bikers and hand-bikers;
- Spreading sport among people with difficulty of access to sport (diabetics, with other physical disabilities too);
- Promoting access to sports/tourism/cultural route;
- Encouraging participation in sporting activities for everyone;
- Creating a participatory planning rural laboratory (Sports Rural Lab) aimed at developing sports itineraries suitable for diabetics people;
- Creating an (educational/informational) sustainable laboratory (Sports Skill Lab) aimed at creating and maintaining a network of specialists, doctors, tour guides, and administrators, about the social impact of suitable itineraries for everyone.
