Training in Kutaisi in the framework of the project “Kutaisi: it works”

The Agenda of the training was discussed with the mayor of Kutaisi and some issues were added, e.g. review of newly adopted Code of local self government, participatory budgeting, etc. The training was held in Chaqvi (Seaside of Georgia) and includes five full days. It started on 29th of August and ended on the 2nd of September. In total, 37 participants took part in the training. Besides, the training was attended by the Mayor of Kutaisi, Shota Murgulia, the Vice Mayor Konstantine Kavtaradze, the Head of Kutaisi City Council, David Dvali, the program director Merab Merabi Meshveliani and the Head of Kutaisi City Administrative department,  Zviad Javakhia.
The local Radio “Dzveli Kalaki” prepared the report about the training. Since the web-site of the organization is under construction, dally reports about the training were published on the facebook page of Ms Nino Tvaltvadze. In August, LDA Georgia executive director began to work on the strategic paper of the organization, one project proposal was submitted to the European Union. It also should be underlined that in September, a visit to Gyumri is planned together with two partners of the organization, in order to know with the LDA Armenia and to plan cooperation activities.
