From 29th of April until 30th of May 2015 in Caen, Lower-Normandy, France, an artistic exchange has been realized between theater artists from these two territories.
***
The “Panta Théâtre” in Caen, is organizing every year a Festival of contemporary writing which is a program of residencies and artistic exchanges between artists from France and a foreign country.
This programme of theatrical research and creation is split in 3 sequences where an author and a director from a foreign country work with French actors. This exchange allows for diverse multicultural experimentation on theatre plays from a foreign country in the form of workshops. At the end of each week of work, the dramas are presented to the French audience.
This year‘s Panta Theater programme is dedicated to Macedonian dramaturgy. The participants are Guy Delamotte, French director and the Macedonian theater artists Dejan Dukovski, Nela Vitoshevikj, Srdjan Janicijevic, Martin Kochovski and Gorjan Miloshevski who are working together with French actors in sequences on 3 Macedonian plays.
The main goal of this project is to valorize the French and Macedonian languages and the process of playwriting and theater performance in both countries.
After this artistic exchange in Lower-Normandy, another workshop will take place in Macedonia, with the collaboration of the National Theater of Macedonia. An author and a director from France will be working with Macedonian actors to present at the end their work to a Macedonian audience.
This project is the result of cooperation between Panta Théâtre and Lokomotiva, and of the efforts to create cultural exchanges between the two territories of the cooperation between Lower Normandy and Macedonia, coordinated by ALDA.
