The annual seminar organized by the European Federalist Movement with the support of the provincial government of Verona has been held in Neumarkt, Austria, during the last week of July.
A group of 42 high school students participated in the initiative. Like every year, ALDA funded the participation of three students, as we believe knowing the history and values of the European Union is key to be more active citizens, at all levels. Students were extremely stimulated by the seminar, which they concluded by writing an appeal to the European institutions highlighting the need for a Federal Europe, based on the values of the Ventotene Manifesto.

Participants also call for a united defense, as well as strong tools to inform citizens of their European citizenship.

Happily for the young participants, it was not only study. The group had also the opportunity to discover the local beauties, watch the solar eclipse from the Neumarkt castle, enjoy a midnight stroll along the stream and much more.
