
Two representatives of ALDA participated in the training Growing Steps, to promote the participation of youngsters by improving their capabilities in civil society organisations.

Participants coming from European and Neighbouring countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech republic, Estonia, France, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine) exploited the potential of creativity, entrepreneurship by using different techniques in order to strengthen their sense of solidarity, self-confidence and reflexion. Trough a non-formal educational methods, workshops and some group activities participants coming from different countries and ethnic backgrounds met and shared experiences and acquired new competences.
The study visits in Palermo, to the CESIE headquarter and to the association Libera against mafia were particularly interesting. The creative workshops on “How could be the city of your dreams…” and on “How could you create a strong advertisement for your idea” were particularly interactive: participants made videos, prepared poster and acted.
The “Partners’ Café” gave the participants the opportunity to propose thematic open spaces of debate on: social impact of the YiA trainings, ecology and respect of the environment, art as on the most important instruments of communication, the importance to experience other cultures.
