The “Inclusive Dialogue for Effective Social Policy” project was implemented in Georgia with the aim to improve the social service delivery system и develop better need-oriented social policies through inclusive cooperation and dialogue with the local self-government in the Zestaponi and Baghdati municipalities of the Imereti region.

Four social programs were created based on the needs identified as a result of the focus groups implemented within the framework of the project: the autism spectrum rehabilitation program; the economic support program for large families; and two home care programs.

. autism spectrum rehabilitation program, developed in the Baghdati municipality, focuses on improving the social functioning of autism spectrum children in Baghdati through early diagnosis and support of the rehabilitation process. A home care program was also set up here to help increase the quality of life for those who are most in need in Baghdati, through the provision of medical care.

In the Zestaponi municipality, the economic support program for large families was created to support micro-small businesses or expand existing ones, and just like in Baghdati a home care programwas also established to provide home care services to disadvantaged people.

Кроме того, social policy documents were elaborated for both municipalities outlining the vision and the ways of achieving social programs and improving the quality of delivery system in 2020-2024. These and both Baghdati projects were discussed and approved in the Baghdati 2020 social budget project by the City Council of the Baghdati Municipality; while, as for the Zestaponi Municipality, the social policy document was discussed and reviewed by the municipal health and social issues commission, and the programs will be considered and approved at the nearest council meeting in 2020.
