New grants call in view of the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan

The Media Dialogue project, implemented with the financial support of the European Union, is launching its third call for proposal, this time in light of the upcoming parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan, on October 4th, 2020.

This grants call is meant to support Kyrgyz media organisations in the creation of media outputs related to the parliamentary elections, and is addressed to private and no-profit media outlets and other media actors such as associations of journalists and editors, CSOs and production studios/companies officially registered in Kyrgyzstan. Applications by consortia of two or more eligible organisations are encouraged.

To be eligible under this call for proposals, interested organisations should send the completed application and budget forms in English, Russian or Kyrgyz language to cholponbolotbekova@epd.eu.

The deadline to submit project proposals is August 16th, 2020, at 23:59 (Bishkek time)

Media Dialogue is implemented by a consortium of five organisations: the European Partnership for Democracy (lead partner), ARTICLE 19, the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, the Media Policy Institute and Alda*. The project aims to strengthen the national media environment in Kyrgyzstan by engaging media outlets, decision-makers and civil society in a dialogue to identify the challenges faced by the media sphere which harness their potential in promoting media policy and reforms in the sector.
