Marco Boaria, Head of the resources and development unit in ALDA, participated, in Brussels, to the mid-term seminar of “Third Sector Impact”, a research project that aims to understand the scope and scale of the third sector in Europe, its current and potential impact, and the barriers hindering the third sector to fully contribute to the continent’s welfare.

Main objective of Third Sector Impact is to create knowledge that will further advance the sector’s contributions to the socio-economic development of Europe. The project, supported by the European Commission within the framework of the Framework Programme 7, is led by the University of Wien – together with other 10 universities, 2 individual members and a research network providing support and communications – and it directly involves an Italian member of ALDA, “SPES – Associazione Promozione e Solidarietà”, which plays a very important role in the project.

The participation of ALDA in the seminar represented the opportunity to reflect, exchange and debate about the third sector in the EU, in which ALDA is embedded, and to enlace and strengthen relations with other third sectors stakeholders, for future joint actions and projects in the addressed fields.
