Laura Crestani has been working as an assistant of the Programmes and Development Department Director of ALDA and CEO of ALDA +, since July 2019.
Laura is taking care of all the services and activities offered by ALDA+ in all their bureaucratic, logistic and legal aspects, giving also her contribution to the P&D Department in the development of some projects in the frame of different EU and National Programmes.
Very passionate of justice and human rights since she was a child, Laura graduated in Law at the University of Trento specializing in International humanitarian law, human rights and later focusing on immigration law.
Before joining ALDA she worked in different contexts, while studying, developing various skills and competencies. Then she collaborated for 2 years with some law firms and she worked for 3 years as immigration consultant and administrative officer, providing migrants with legal and bureaucratic assistance and supporting asylum seekers who were in the procedure of granting international protection in Italy.
In 2015, she worked for the IIMA, Human Rights Office, based in Geneva, aimed at promoting the Right to education and Human Rights Education for all, participating in the meetings of the OHCHR (Human Rights Council, Treaty Bodies and Special Procedures).
Enthusiastic and multitasking, but also concrete and precise, Laura will assist you through all the services of ALDA +! Italian native speaker, she speaks English and French.
