The LDA Armenia was established in 2011. Among its main priorities are to promote the capacities of local authorities and civil society in citizens’ participation, support participative practices in the development of local and sustainable tourism, reinforce regional cooperation, empower youth and women in environmental and community development initiatives. Furthermore, the cooperation with the French Embassy, the Council of Europe, Kettering Foundation, Black Sea NGO Forum, UN and the European stakeholders promoted the implementation of many initiatives in the field of local democracy and participative decision-making.
