HERA

Description

Founded in 2000, HERA is a leading civil society organization in North Macedonia working at the intersection of social justice, gender equality and human rights. Grounded in democracy and rights-based values, HERA promotes democratic participation and delivers essential support to marginalized communities, particularly in the fields of sexual and reproductive health and social protection. 

HERA operates youth-friendly spaces, provides psychosocial counseling for women and children affected by violence and offers support services for perpetrators. It advocates for systemic change while also building community resilience through local partnerships. HERA plays a national role in advancing gender equality, protecting gender-based violence and securing access to health and social rights for all.
