Situated at the heart of a rich green plateau, the municipal area of Lavarone, that is inhabited by 1,200 people, is located at 1,170 m. Its name derives from the eponymous high plateau in the heart of which Lavarone is located, surrounded by forests and meadows. There is no single village called Lavarone, but the municipality is composed of the localities Azzolini, Albertini, Bertoldi, Masi di Sotto (Birti/Lenzi/Sosteri), Gasperi, Cappella, Lanzino, Chiesa, Longhi, Gionghi, Magrè, Nicolussi, Oseli, Piccoli, Slaghenaufi and Stengheli.
