Objectif: This call aims to further strengthen the position of press and media councils in a converged media environment and help in further development of deontological standards. It outcomes will include the development and maintenance of a database on media self-regulatory bodies; exchange of best practices; support to new media councils; training for journalists; cooperation with media regulators; assistance in developing journalistic standards, including through the pan-EU Working Group. It follows up on the preparatory action “Media councils in digital age”.

Objectif: The global objective of this call for proposals is to strengthen the role of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) as governance and development actors in Egypt. The Specific Objectives of this call for proposals are:

1. To establish a pool of framework partners who share EU’s vision on democracy and sustainable development and having mutual development cooperation interests and common general objectives
2. To award specific grant agreements to a limited number of those framework partners, in order to strengthen local civil society organisations’ (CSOs) engagement as actors of good governance and development in Egypt.

Title: Social innovation for a fair green and digital transition (TOPIC ID: ESF-2022-SOC-INNOV)

Objectif:  The call aims to develop and test integrated and inclusive social innovation approaches – in schools or training centres, at work or in local communities, or other relevant environments – to foster just green and digital transitions, by:

• identifying and addressing (re-/up-)skilling and (re-)training needs stemming from new, green or digital products, services or technologies;
• fostering social acceptance and/or behavioural changes for more sustainable business models, consumption patterns and/or modes of transport;
• developing sustainability pathways and transformation tools for social economy actors;
• tailor solutions to the particular contexts starting from general models, such as the City Doughnut or macro level climate adaptation solutions, to other, business or local environments;
• promoting the implementation of the EPSR principle 20. Essential services, including energy, mobility and digital communications, in the context of the green and digital transitions.

Title:Pan-European Engagement Grant (EP-COMM-SUBV-2022-PAN-EU-E)

Emplacement: EU Member States and third countries associated to the Programme (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo)

Objectif: This call is divided into three topics:

• Topic 1: Capacity building actions (TOPIC ID: PAN-EU-E-1)

This action consists of the design and implementation of capacity building through training and other actions, aiming at providing change-makers with skills, competences, tools and motivation to play an active role in the democratic life and in the promotion of the democratic values, especially by mobilising their community to participate in the European Elections in 2024.

After the training, the beneficiary should monitor and report on the communication engagement activities organised by the trained change-makers. The change-makers should commit to organise at least 2 activities with an outreach of at least 100 persons in total in a physical setting in their community using the skills and competences previously acquired through capacity-building.

• Topic 2: Citizen Engagement activities (TOPIC ID: PAN-EU-E-2)

The second action consists of communication actions or a series of communication actions, offline and/or online, informing citizens about the European elections 2024 and supporting democratic engagement among citizens.

• Topic 3: Combination of capacity-building & citizens’ engagement actions (TOPIC ID: PAN-EU-E-3)

The action category 3 consists of:

• The design and implementation of capacity building through training and other actions, aiming at providing change-makers with skills, competences, tools and motivation to play an active role in the democratic life and in the promotion of the democratic values, especially by mobilising their community to participate in the European Elections in 2024.
• Communication actions or a series of communication actions, offline and/or online, informing citizens about the European elections 2024 and supporting democratic engagement among citizens.
