KITEV (Kultur im Turm eV) was founded in 2006 by Ateliers Stark and Tank-FX and is a laboratory for unusual interventions, located in the water tower of the Oberhausen central station. The tower is the nucleus and venue for actions of high artistic quality and a point of contact for project-related stays in the region. The experimental field with an industrial character always allows for variable interpretations. KITEV supports innovative, experimental and interdisciplinary artists in their work and their further development, virulently promotes the dialogue between different art sectors and is also involved in the local social environment.
