Actions to reform the media sector in Kyrgyzstan are going on, as never before… with Media Dialogue!
On one side, a campaign against hate speech — #ChallengeHate — has been launched on September 6th, by the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) and the Institute of Civic Development. Such a campaign comes right during the run up to the country’s Parliamentary elections… and that’s not the fate! Indeed, Media Dialogue wants to harness the power of the media in safeguarding conflict-free elections.
For this reason, last Wednesday September 8th, Alexandru Coica, ALDA Regional Coordinator for Eastern Europe and Central Asia held a series of monitoring visits with the beneficiaries of the grants, aimed at stimulating a bigger impact at the local and national level.
