Gallio is an Italian municipality of 2,368 inhabitants in the province of Vicenza in Veneto, located in the central basin of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni. Gallio suffered during the First World War, immediately after the taking of Asiago (in the battle that went down in history as the Spring Offensive), a terrible bombing that almost completely razed it to the ground.
Gallio is interested in joining ALDA to be part of an international network of LAs and organisations promoting stronger democracies at the local level. Gallio shares the main objectives of ALDA and wishes to implement common actions.
