On September 22nd and 23rd, 2020, the closing conference of the Monumental 9 project was held in Nikšić, Montenegro officially announcing the end of the project activities.

On July 3rd, 2020 ALDA and Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) signed a grant agreement within the framework of the “Citizens’ Voice and Actions on Local Development in Consolidated Communities in Armenia” project.

“Regenerating heritage: new life for abandoned industrial, religious, military or public buildings” is the topic of the Final International Conference within the project “Cultural heritage linking diversities in Europe – CLINK”, organized by Local Democracy Agency Mostar, which will take place on May 28th, 2020 starting at 12pm.

The conference ‘A Role for Citizens and Civil Society in Development Cooperation’ within the project WTD – Working Together for Development took place in Budapest, Hungary, on 8 July.

The meeting was of vital importance for the functioning and future perspectives of LDA foundation Armenia. The present partners nominated their representatives in the Board of Trustees, consisting of 12 members, and the first composition will be finalised in July. The president of the Board of Trustees is the lead partner, the Region of Rhone-Alpes Region.

Relations between the EU and Belarusan authorities remain a challenging puzzle for Brussels. Since 1997 the EU has applied number of different approaches to establish cooperation leading to democratisation, Europeanisation and modernisation of Belarus. During the spring 2012, European Dialogue on Modernisation was launched. However, little progress can be observed so far.

On Wednesday 8 May at the Italian Embassy in Podgorica (Montenegro) a meeting took place, which involved Alessandro Perelli, the Vice President of ALDA, Kerim Medjedovic, delegate of the LDA in Niksic, the new Italian Ambassador in Montenegro Eugenio Del Monaco and the Counsellor of the Embassy, Michele Mistò.

The first scholarship established by ALDA in 2013, dedicated to the Memory of our Honorary President, M. Gianfranco Martini, has been give to Mr. Gianfranco Brusaporci, for his studies in Western Balkans on transborder cooperation.

On the 4th of April, the Vice-President ALDA Alessandro Perelli and the Director of the International Telematics University UNINETTUNO Professor Maria Amata Garito signed a cooperation agreement between the two institutions and launched their first common project.

ALDA contributed actively to the 3rd Assises of Decentralised Cooperation organised by the Committee of the Regions on the 9th-10th of April. ALDA is one of the contributors to the realisation of the event.

A series of three seminars were held gathering more than one hundred local participants tackling a wide range of issues related with the legislation and practice in confiscating and administering property acquired from criminal activity in selected Western Balkan countries.

LDA Mostar, active in Bosnia, as a locally registered nonprofit, non-governmental organisation, exists for more than 7 years now and in that period it has implemented numerous projects in the local community.

French delegation from the municipality of Saint-James, from the Lower Normandy Region was on three-day visit in Kruševo, Republic of Macedonia in order to establish an international cooperation between both municipalities.

Within the framework of the project “Georgian Diaspora for Development in Kutaisi”, in order to support local entrepreneurship and promote locally produced goods, Business Forum “Doing Business Together” has been held in Kutaisi on 28 May, 2011.

Starting from July 4 until July 8, 2011, Macedonian and French professionals will work on discovering and practicing the technics of renovation of traditional buildings in Pont Farcy, Lower Normandy.

In the four years that have elapsed since the beginning of the creation of the decentralised cooperation between Lower Normandy Region and North Macedonia, the cooperation has marked significant number of achieved goals.

The exchange of experience through working visits continues this June and August between FFRM and AFDI.
In the framework of their cooperation, the Macedonian delegation is visiting the organisation IADK in Kosovo on 10, 11 and 12 June.

ALDA is attending in Foligno (Italy) the “International Forum on Aid Effectiveness at the Local Level “Territories Networking for Human Development” Innovative Tools and Practices for Decentralised Cooperation”.
