The CoE and Civil Society Involvement – BRIDGE Workshop

On 14 July 2025, Villa Fabris in Thiene will host the second public event of the BRIDGE to the CoE project, titled “The CoE and the Modalities of Civil Society Involvement”. This hybrid workshop aims to:

• Raise awareness on Council of Europe standards for democratic governance

• Foster dialogue on civic space challenges in Southern and Eastern Europe

• Strengthen civil society’s capacity to engage with CoE mechanisms

• Encourage cooperation between civil society, public authorities, and institutions

With democracy under pressure across Europe, from legal restrictions to civic space shrinkage, this initiative brings together key actors to promote participation and resilience.

The event builds on ALDA’s long-standing cooperation with the Council of Europe and its mission to support active citizenship across the continent.
