TED Network Annual Meeting 2026 – Strengthening Governance, Defending Democracy

On 16–17 June 2026, the TED Network Annual Meeting will take place in Brussels, bringing together members of the network to discuss current challenges and future perspectives for democracy support.

In a context where democratic governance is increasingly under pressure worldwide, the meeting will provide a space for exchange, collaboration and joint reflection among democracy actors, practitioners and organisations engaged in promoting democratic values and accountability.

The event will focus on strengthening cooperation and building alliances beyond traditional development frameworks, addressing key issues such as democratic resilience, governance, and emerging narratives for democracy support.

Participants will engage in discussions aimed at identifying practical approaches to reinforce democratic systems, foster cross-sectoral partnerships and develop concrete outcomes, including joint initiatives and follow-up actions within the TED Network framework.

The Annual Meeting will also offer opportunities for collective learning and knowledge exchange, encouraging members to contribute to shaping future strategies and collaborative efforts in democracy support.

Antonella Valmorbida, ALDA Secretary General, will take part.
