Urban7 International Mayors Summit 2026

On 3 and 4 June 2026, the Urban7 International Mayors Summit will take place in Nancy, France, under the French G7 Presidency, bringing together mayors, city representatives, policymakers and international stakeholders to discuss the future of resilient and democratic cities.

The Summit will focus on the role of cities in addressing global challenges through democratic governance, sustainable urban transformation and international cooperation. Through plenary sessions, workshops and political dialogues, participants will explore how urban leadership can contribute to strengthening resilience at local and global levels.

The programme will include discussions on:

  • socioeconomic resilience and urban cohesion;
  • environmental resilience and sustainable urban transformation;
  • democratic governance and institutional resilience;
  • international city partnerships and cooperation;
  • Ukraine recovery and urban resilience.

The Summit will also feature the G7/U7 Leaders’ Political Dialogue, thematic workshops, executive masterclasses and the preparation of the Urban7 Declaration.

ALDA will participate in the Summit, with Antonella Valmorbida, ALDA Secretary General, contributing as a speaker during the first day of discussions on democratic governance and resilient cities.
