ALDA International School 2026

ALDA International School 2026 – Youth as Democracy Builders

From 2 to 4 September 2026, Villa Fabris in Thiene will host the third edition of the ALDA International School, an intensive training programme bringing together changemakers, researchers, policymakers, practitioners and civil society representatives from across Europe and beyond.

This year’s edition, “Youth as Democracy Builders”, explores one of the most pressing questions facing European democracies today: how can young people become active actors in shaping resilient, inclusive and participatory democratic societies?

Over three days, participants will engage in keynote lectures, interactive workshops, policy discussions and networking activities focusing on democratic participation, civic engagement, digital transformation and local governance. The programme combines academic perspectives with practical experiences, creating a space for learning, exchange and collaboration among participants from different countries and professional backgrounds.

The School is guided by an international Scientific Committee and offers a multidisciplinary approach that bridges research, policy and practice. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with leading experts while developing new skills and building lasting professional networks.
