Daktilo84
The 1984 Association (D84), formerly known as Daktilo1984, is a non-profit and non-partisan civil society organisation based in Türkiye. The organisation is dedicated to fostering pluralistic democracy through a combination of policy-oriented research, civic education, public dialogue, and the promotion of participatory governance at both local and national levels.
D84 works to strengthen democratic culture by encouraging informed public debate, supporting evidence-based policymaking, and facilitating inclusive spaces for civic engagement. Its activities aim to enhance citizens’ participation in decision-making processes and to contribute to more transparent and accountable governance.
Through its work, The 1984 Association (D84) contributes to advancing democratic values, inclusive governance, and active citizenship—core principles that are fully aligned with ALDA’s mission to promote local democracy and civic participation.
