New European Bauhaus Festival 2026

New European Bauhaus Festival 2026

From 9 to 13 June 2026, Brussels will host the third edition of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Festival, organised by the European Commission. Bringing together citizens, policymakers, local authorities, designers, architects, artists, researchers and civil society organisations, the Festival celebrates innovative approaches to creating more sustainable, inclusive and beautiful living environments.

Under the motto “Life. Spaces. Buildings.”, the 2026 edition will focus on the transformative power of democratic engagement in shaping communities and on the role of affordable housing in building more inclusive societies. The Festival will explore how citizens and local authorities can actively contribute to designing the places where they live and work.

The programme is structured around four pillars:

  • Forum – discussions, debates and exchanges of ideas;
  • Fair – exhibitions, projects and innovative prototypes;
  • Fest – cultural and artistic activities;
  • Satellite Events – initiatives organised in Brussels and around the world.

As a flagship initiative of the European Commission, the New European Bauhaus seeks to translate the ambitions of the European Green Deal into tangible improvements in everyday life, combining sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion.

The Festival offers a unique opportunity to discover innovative projects, exchange experiences and contribute to discussions on the future of Europe’s built environment and communities.
