Title: Thematic Programme on Human Rights and Democracy

Location: Türkiye
Objective: The global objective of this restricted call for proposals is to promote and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law in Türkiye through empowering civil society organisations in building resilient, inclusive and democratic societies. The specific objectives of this call for proposals are:
- Lot 1 to support civil society organisations working on closing the accountability gap and fighting impunity.
- Lot 2 to support civil society organisations working on promoting fundamental freedoms and strengthening civic and political space.

Title: European Union Start-ups and Business Support Programme
Deadline: 27 March 2023
Location: Kosovo
Objective: The global objective of this restricted call for proposals is to support innovative start-ups and businesses in Kosovo through the facilitation of access to finance and access to business advisory services for their viability/survival and faster development and growth.
The specific objectives of this call for proposals are:
- strengthen the capacities of selected incubators and improve overall capacity support to startups;
- increase the number of innovative and growth-oriented start-ups, in particular women- and youth-led start-ups;
- increase and improve overall competitiveness of selected micro and small businesses in line with EU standards.

Title: EU4CS – Support to existing and newly established Civil Society Organisations’ networks
Deadline: 21 March 2023
Location: Bosnia Herzegovina
Objective: The global objective of this restricted call for proposals is to strengthen participatory democracies and the EU approximation and integration process in Bosnia and Herzegovina, through an enhanced contribution by civil society and media.
The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals are:
– Institutionalisation of civil society participation in policy and decision making process.
– Further capacity building of CSO in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly of grassroots CSOs.
– Continuation of support to issue based networks in the area of rule of law, anti-corruption, education, health, electoral processes, social inclusion, environment and climate change, youth, culture, local economy and entrepreneurship, women rights, freedom of expression and media.

Title: Support to Civil Society in Kazakhstan
Deadline: 24 March 2023
Location: Kazakhstan
Objective: There are two Lots in this restricted call. LOT 1: Human Rights and Democracy (HRD). The global objective of the call is to promote and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law. The specific objectives are:
- to strengthen capacities of civil society, including in advocacy and raising public awareness, to help CSOs to promote fundamental freedoms and effectively fight for the eradication of all forms of torture, and all forms of cruel, inhumane and degrading treatment or punishment;
- to strengthen capacities of civil society, including in advocacy and raising public awareness, to help CSOs in their work to support the rule of law and counteract discriminatory policies, measures and practices. Specific attention shall be paid to the work of youth and women organisations and
LOT 2: Civil Society Organisations (CSO)
The global objective is to strengthen local Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) as independent actors of good governance and development in Kazakhstan. The specific objective(s) are:
- to strengthen capacities of local CSOs to engage in policy dialogue at national level and in dialogue, implementation and monitoring of national development programmes and plans;
- to improve capacity and ability of local CSOs to uphold and promote an enabling environment and democratic space in Kazakhstan, to support local administrations in the implementation and monitoring of the national initiatives and plans on decentralisation and implementation of the Agenda 2030 SDGs;
- to strengthen the capacity of local CSOs to engage in gender equality and youth inclusion and strengthen capacity of local women’s and youth partner CSOs.

Call 5
Title: Interreg Italy – Austria VI – IT-AT 2021-2027
Deadline: 19 April 2023
Location: Austria, Italy (BELLUNO, BOLZANO-BOZEN, GORIZIA, PORDENONE, TREVISO, TRIESTE, UDINE, VICENZA)
Objective: The programme promotes Italian-Austrian cooperation projects in the fields of research and innovation, nature and culture, institutional capacity and community led local development. The main aim of the programme is to strengthen territorial cooperation and to maintain the quality of life and competitiveness in the border area between Italy and Austria. These objectives will be achieved through actions aimed at overcoming border barriers, creating new cross-border synergies, increasing territorial attractiveness, increasing sustained regional growth and achieving high levels of employment, productivity, and social cohesion.

Call specifically dedicated to ALDA Members
Title: Respond Locally to Global Issues – Call for proposal for local actions on Sustainability
Deadline: 17 April 2023
Location: EU Based ALDA Members
Objective: The call for proposals will fund different organizations developing their own projects at the local level, widening public knowledge, awareness and interest about the EU key policies and strategies. In particular the thematic focus of the regranted actions should have a clear link to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and/or the European Green Deal.
The regranted initiatives are expected to capitalize their results thanks to their close connection to ALDA key activities and ALDA Thematic Hubs:
- Environment and Climate,
- Community Engagement,
- Gender Inclusion & Human Rights,
- Youth,
- Migration.
