Call 1

Name of the programme:Youth Inclusion in Jordan’s Development Process
Deadline of the call: 29.07.2021
Location:  Jordan

Objective: This call’s objective is to contribute to the improvement of young people’s participation in the labour market and to foster their role in the development of their local communities. It intends to empower Jordanian youth and include them in Jordan’s development process. This varies from providing them with employment, self-employment services, and opportunities in growing economic sectors. The call also aims to advance sustainability through youth actions emphasizing on urban, economic, environmental, and industrial sustainable development, as well as, strengthen the position of youth in the society to advances their careers and market entry. With this aim, the following priorities are targeted:

  • Opportunities for young people to build a sustainable and rewarding career in growing economic sectors
  • Improving the quality and efficiency of job training and employment creation
  • Offering mentoring and access to enterprise networks
  • Forging partnerships for scaling-up investments in youth abilities

In addition, supporting ideas and actions implemented by college and university students for community development addressing persisting and current challenges or needs related to sustainable development.

Call 2

Name of the programme:EU Support to Start-ups
Deadline of the call: 17.08.2021
Location:  Kosovo

Objective: The global objective of this call for proposals is to contribute to the strengthening of Kosovo’s economy through supporting the creation and growth of start-ups via the incubation process. Building an economic environment that is supportive of innovation and entrepreneurship requires collaboration and co-creation among the various stakeholders and actors in the economy to achieve a successful ecosystem. With the COVID-19 situation taking a toll on Kosovo’s economy, this call aims at investing in innovation and digitalization in order to achieve socio-economic recovery and improve men and women’s access to finances and business development services. The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals are:

  • To strengthen existing incubators and/or support the creation of new ones;
  • To increase the number and the sustainability of innovative and growth-oriented start-ups, in particular women- and youth-led start-ups;
  • To support the creation of a good digital innovation ecosystem for start-ups with strengthened links with the EU ecosystem

Name of the programme:Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV) Town Twinning
Deadline of the call: 26.08.2021
Location: EU

Objective: The call within this program supports projects that bring together a wide range of partner towns in a town-twinning event revolving around topics in line with the objectives of the Programme and taking into consideration the policy priorities. Priority topics include a new narrative for Europe that is citizen-oriented, with a focus on equality, construction, and engagement, in particular that of younger generations to create a more democratic union and a strong sense of ownership of the European project. Specific objectives revolve around promoting exchanges between citizens fo different countries, promoting the cultural diversity of the EU, ensure active participation, encourage cooperation and exchange of practices, and support good local governance.

The themes and priorities of this call are:

  • Raising awareness  on  the  richness  of  the  cultural  and  linguistic environment in Europe
  • Raising awareness  of  the  importance  of  reinforcing  the  European integration process based on solidarity
  • Fostering a  sense of belonging to  Europe by promoting  the debate  on the future of Europe
  • Reflecting on the  impact  of  the  COVID-19  pandemic  on  the local communities

Call 4

Name of the programme: Call for proposals for town-twinning and networks of towns (CERV-2021-CITIZENS-TOWN)Deadline: 26.08.2021
Location: – EU Member States; listed EEA countries and countries associated to the CERV Programme (associated countries) or countries which are in ongoing negotiations for an association agreement and where the agreement enters into force before grant signature

Objective: The objective of this call is directed to municipalities and associations working together on a common theme in a long-term perspective may wish to develop networks of towns to make their cooperation more sustainable. Networking between municipalities on issues of common interest appears to be an important means for enabling the exchange of good practices. Twinning is a strong link that binds municipalities; therefore, the potential of the networks created by a series of town twinning links should be used for developing thematic and long-lasting cooperation between towns. The European Commission supports the development of such networks, which are important for ensuring structured, intense and multifaceted cooperation, therefore contributing to maximising the impact of the Programme.

Networks of Towns are expected to:

– Integrate a range of activities around the subject(s) of common interest to be addressed in the context of the Programme’s objectives or policy priorities;

– Mobilise citizens across the Europe;

– To deepen and intensify the cooperation of towns and municipalities and offer them the possibility to debate in a long term perspective, to develop sustainable networks and to outline their long-term vision for the future of European integration.

Call 5

Name of the programme:CSO Watchdog: strengthening transparency, accountability and resilience in The Gambia (STAR)
Deadline of the call: 08.09.2021
Location:  Gambia

Objective: This call’s global objective is the strengthening of participatory and accountable governance in Gambia to contribute to economic recovery, democratization, peace and stability. Specific objectives are:

  • To set-up a civil society mechanism of oversight and dialogue to assess the progress in implementing the National Development Plan (NDP) and its successor. This platform will issue yearly reports on the implementation of the NDP from the angle of public accountability. The report will be debated in a yearly workshop.
  • To improve public administrations’ capacity to provide public services efficiently, with transparency and accountability.
  • This civil society mechanism set up will also serve to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs), research centres/think tanks and the media to perform their roles in the fight against corruption and the promotion of accountability.
  • The activity will be mainly based in the Greater Banjul Area but will also include activities for the rural areas.

Call 6

Name of the programme: EU4Justice phase II – Support to Judicial Professionalism (or: Accountability) and the Fight against Organised Crime and Corruption in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Deadline of the call: 14.09.2021 (Brussels time)
Location:  Bosnia and Herzegovina

Objective: The global objective of this call for proposals is to further align the justice system of Bosnia and Herzegovina with European standards and the EU acquis.
The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals is to strengthen the rule of law in BiH, notably by enhancing the independence, quality, effectiveness, accountability, and efficiency in the BiH justice sector and its results in fight against corruption. The priorities of this call include 6 mandatory components:

  • Component I: Support to the EU-led monitoring operation and the Integrity Unit within the HJPC Secretariat as regards the asset verification process for judicial office holders
  • Component II: Foster ‚Rule of Law’ culture in BiH, including education on ethics, integrity and professionalism for law students and prospect judicial office holders
  • Component III: Support the coordination and cooperation on the criminal justice chain in organized crime and corruption cases, including the consolidation of the results of EU4Justice phase I
  • Component IV: Support to Justice Sector Reform
  • Component V: Project visibility
  • Component VI: Project reporting
