Following the EU–Western Balkans Summit 2026, ALDA welcomes the renewed commitment to EU enlargement and highlights the importance of democratic participation, civic engagement and local ownership in the integration process. Through its projects across the region, ALDA continues to support civil society, youth empowerment, media literacy and reconciliation, reaffirming that a sustainable European future for the Western Balkans can only be built with the active involvement of citizens, local authorities and civil society organisations.
