CAST is an Italian NGO with over 40 years of experience in international cooperation and sustainable development. Its mission is to promote fair and sustainable development by ensuring respect for human dignity and access to essential resources such as water, energy, and food. The organisation works across a wide range of thematic areas, including access to water, renewable energy, environmental resilience, the sustainable use of natural resources, education for sustainable development, and the strengthening of territorial development.
CAST has a long-standing commitment to promoting participatory governance, local democracy, and citizen engagement both in Italy and internationally. It is currently active in Kenya and Tanzania and has previously implemented projects across other countries in Africa, as well as in Latin America and Asia.
