Location: African Continent with a special focus on Sub saharan countries

Objective: Through the re-granting scheme, the cluster 1 of the WYDE-Civic Engagement project is aiming at funding and implementing national and transnational projects in support of youth civic engagement and participation in the decision-making processes across the Sub-Saharan Countries.

Specific objectives

• Empower organisations working in the field of youth to play a relevant role in supporting the democratic participation of youth.
• Support peer to peer learning among youth organisations
• Reinforce an international network of youth organisations and youth leaders.
• Improve the cooperation between the youth civil society and public policynmakers, at local, national, and international level.
• Advocate for the establishment or improvement of representative youth structures (such as youth councils or youth parliaments)

If you are still looking for partners, we invite you to participate in the matchmaking virtual event which will take place by the end of January 2024. This event will help you find partners who can assist you in the design and implementation of your project activities. The aim of this virtual matchmaking event is to enable organisations that have a relatively low level of experience to develop their networking and benefit from shared experiences and support from other organisations. This will also help you prepare better proposals for the second call for proposals.

The WYDE Civic Engagement funding program is open to all African civil society organisations, regardless of their level of experience. This means that we will fund both experienced and inexperienced associations. As part of our support, we offer coaching and technical assistance to beneficiary organisations through training and mentoring programs based on their needs.

All participating organisations will be invited to describe their backgrounds and interests. Based on this information, we will highlight the needs and the potential connections that could be beneficial for the organisations. If you are interested in taking part in the event, please register here.

Zone Géographique: le continent Africain avec un attention particulière à l’Afrique Subsaharienne

Objectif: Par le biais du programme de réattribution, le groupe 1 du projet WYDE-Civic Engagement vise à financer et à mettre en œuvre des projets nationaux et transnationaux en faveur de l’engagement civique des jeunes et de leur participation aux processus de prise de décision dans les pays subsahariens.

Objectifs spécifiques

• Permettre aux organisations travaillant dans le domaine de la jeunesse de jouer un rôle important dans le soutien à la participation démocratique des jeunes.
• Soutenir l’apprentissage entre pairs parmi les organisations de jeunesse.
• Renforcer un réseau international d’organisations de jeunesse et de dirigeants de jeunes.
• Améliorer la coopération entre la société civile de la jeunesse et les décideurs publics, au niveau local, national et international.
• Plaider pour l’établissement ou l’amélioration de structures représentatives de la jeunesse (telles que des conseils ou des parlements de jeunes).

Si vous êtes toujours à la cherche d’organisation partenaire, nous vous invitons à participer à l’événement virtuel de mise en relation qui aura lieu fin janvier 2024. Cet événement vous aidera à trouver des partenaires qui peuvent vous accompagner dans la conception et la mise en œuvre de vos activités de projet.

L’objectif de cette rencontre virtuelle est de permettre aux organisations qui ont un niveau d’expérience relativement bas de développer leur réseau et de bénéficier des expériences et du soutien d’autres organisations. Cela vous aidera également à préparer de meilleures propositions pour cet appel à projets.

Toutes les organisations participantes seront invitées à décrire leurs parcours et leurs intérêts. Sur la base de ces informations, nous identifierons les besoins et les connexions potentielles qui pourraient être bénéfiques pour les organisations.
