50th Congress of Local and Regional Authorities – Plenary Session

From 31 March to 2 April 2026, the 50th Plenary Session of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe takes place in Strasbourg. This institutional meeting brings together local and regional representatives from 46 member states to debate on democracy, citizen participation, and multilevel governance.

The programme includes plenary debates, committee sessions, and exchange of monitoring reports and best practices. ALDA representatives will attend to reinforce cooperation with the Congress and to highlight ALDA’s initiatives on local democracy, civic engagement, and inclusive governance.
