EPIC-UP Policy Lab on Migration Narratives

On 22 April 2026, ALDA will host the EPIC-UP Policy Lab on Migration Narratives in Brussels, Belgium, bringing together policymakers, researchers, civil society organisations and communication practitioners working on migration and public discourse.

The Policy Lab aims to bridge European-level research with local practice, creating a collaborative space to explore how more balanced, hopeful and inclusive narratives on migration can be supported and translated into meaningful policy action.

Participants will exchange perspectives and experiences on how migration narratives influence public debate and policymaking, while identifying practical approaches to counter polarisation and promote more constructive communication on migration.

The event is organised in the framework of the EPIC-UP project, which seeks to strengthen cooperation between researchers, policymakers and civil society actors to foster evidence-based and inclusive migration narratives across Europe.
