HATEDEMICS final conference

HATEDEMICS Final Conference – Strengthening Europe’s Response to Online Hate Speech and Disinformation

On 26 March 2026, the HATEDEMICS Final Conference will take place at the University of Granada, Spain, bringing together NGOs, civil society organisations, fact-checkers, public authorities, researchers and young activists from across Europe.

After two years of collaboration across six EU Member States, the HATEDEMICS project will present the results of its work in addressing online hate speech and disinformation, two of the most pressing challenges facing democratic societies today.

The conference will showcase the methodologies, digital tools and strategies developed throughout the project to detect, monitor and counter harmful online content. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in discussions on how these solutions can be sustained and scaled beyond the project’s lifetime.

The programme will feature keynote contributions, high-level panel discussions, the presentation of the HATEDEMICS digital platform, and an interactive co-creation session aimed at strengthening cooperation among organisations working to protect democratic values in the digital sphere.

The event will bring together key stakeholders committed to promoting a safer and more resilient digital public space in Europe, fostering collaboration between civil society, researchers, public authorities and digital policy actors.

The HATEDEMICS project is funded by the European Union through the CERV Programme.
