Asma Benchaib joined ALDA in March 2026 as a Project Manager Assistant. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Private Law and a Master’s degree in Judicial Law from Algeria and is currently completing a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Multi-level Governance at the University of Padua. Recognizing her academic potential, she was awarded the MAECI scholarship for excellence by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for two consecutive years.
She has built a professional foundation through specialized volunteering in communication and administration. In these roles, she coordinated outreach and established contacts with municipal stakeholders to secure support for aid initiatives for Ukrainian children. Furthermore, she managed administrative processes focused on the social and professional inclusion of Ukrainian individuals into the Italian job market.This experience is complemented by her work with Caritas Vicenza, where she provided front-line support for homeless individuals and asylum seekers. Her professional focus remains on international relations, humanitarian affairs, and the management of local integration projects.
Fluent in Arabic,French and in English, Asma also has an intermediate knowledge of Italian, allowing her to engage effectively in a professional environment. She thrives in multicultural and mission-driven settings and is committed to fostering international cooperation and supporting active citizenship through her work at ALDA.
