Mohammed is the Project Manager of ALDA’s Migration Thematic Hub based in Vicenza managing EU Projects, driven by a passion for migration studies and human rights. He has extensive experience managing EU-funded projects like AMIF, CERV, and other non-EU initiatives. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Development Project Management, he also holds a second-level Master’s degree in International Relations, Cooperation, and Development.
Mohammed began his career in East Africa, working directly with refugees, migrants, and IDPs, where he built a strong regional network. He then moved on to manage projects across East and North Africa, developing project briefs and navigating complex funding landscapes.
In Italy, Mohammed worked with E4Impact Foundation on diverse projects across Africa and the Middle East. His skills encompass project development, monitoring and evaluation, budgeting, and strategic planning. He is certified in PMD Pro+, PMP, Spend Analysis & Budgeting, and Monitoring & Evaluation.
Previously, Mohammed worked as a Country MEAL and Reporting Specialist at COOPI and as a Coordinator for UN-IOM in Sudan. He also collaborated with the Danish Refugee Council on disaster response at the Sudan-Ethiopia border.
Fluent in English and Arabic, Mohammed is advancing his proficiency in Italian. He is passionate about traveling, diversity, and inclusion, and he leverages his cross-cultural experience and technical expertise to support ALDA’s mission.
