Paul joined ALDA in February 2026 as Secretariat Assistant.

Paul joined ALDA in February 2026 as Secretariat Assistant. He is an Erasmus Mundus Master’s student specialising in Climate Change and Diversity: Sustainable Territorial Development (CCD-STeDe). His academic focus lies in developing integrated strategies for resilient local communities, currently reflected in his thesis research on water governance and private sector participation in South Africa.

With a professional background in international business development and market analysis, Paul brings a strategic perspective to partnership building and stakeholder engagement. He has extensive experience as an international volunteer, contributing to biodiversity protection, nature conservation, and social reintegration initiatives in Germany, Spain, and Greece. Paul has also gained significant experience in Latin American and Sub-Saharan African contexts through both academic and professional international mobility.

A native French speaker, Paul is fluent in English and Portuguese and has a good command of German. He is particularly interested in bridging the gap between practical territorial management and academic research in order to support local democracy and active citizenship across Europe.
