Shalom joined ALDA in July 2025 as a Membership Assistant Intern, working within the Association’s Secretariat.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Human Rights from the University of Padua. Her Master’s thesis in International Humanitarian Law earned her an academic prize in recognition of her work, awarded during the 100th year Anniversary Celebrations of the Political Science Department.
Following her graduation, she attended the Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI), an experience that further fueled her ambition to pursue a career in the international field.
Throughout her academic journey, Shalom engaged in volunteering activities and was a Jurist intern at the Citizenship and Foreign Residency Office of the Municipality of Padua.
She has a strong interest in institutional affairs and diplomatic relations – areas that closely align with her current role. Additionally, she is deeply fascinated by East Asian history and politics, which inspired her to begin learning Korean. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Her exposure to diverse cultures has shaped her belief that societies flourish through exchange and mutual influence.
Shalom is bringing this intercultural perspective and passion to her work at ALDA.
