Stefan Gorban joined ALDA Moldova in February 2026 as a Communication Officer. He currently contributes to SG4Y – Climate (Smart Governance for Youth Involvement in Climate Action), a regional initiative implemented under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme. The project aims to empower young people to actively address climate challenges while strengthening the capacity of local authorities to foster inclusive, transparent, and participatory governance across the region.
Stefan began his professional career in diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova. He later worked within the Presidency, contributing to Moldova’s European integration efforts. Prior to joining ALDA, he served as Communication and Prevention Officer with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Chișinău, further consolidating his expertise in strategic communication and public engagement.
He holds a degree in Law from the Rovira i Virgili University (Tarragona, Spain) and completed advanced studies in International Criminal Law at the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) in Turin, Italy. Stefan speaks Romanian, English, Spanish, Catalan, and Russian fluently, and has an intermediate command of German.
