Valentina Cubides

Valentina joined ALDA in February of 2026 as a Project Designer Assistant.

Valentina joined ALDA in February of 2026 as a Project Designer Assistant. She holds a Bachelor in Anthropology from the Universidad del Rosario in Bogota, Colombia. She is currently studying her Master’s degree in Local Development at Padova University. She is passionate in sustainability, rural development and capacity-building. As part of her research path she has worked with indigenous communities, farmers, producers and rural youth for the development of their communities.

After graduation she worked in the sustainability field for business and helped to improve systems and practices to ensure sustainability of several companies. As well, she volunteered in a Colombian NGO to promote sustainable and community-led initiatives towards a better management of water resources. Nowadays, she is working with rural communities to understand new opportunities within the agricultural sector to improve their livelihoods and the participation of the rural youth.

Valentina is native Spanish speaker, with a working level in English. She is currently studying Italian and French.
