The Association for Local Autonomy (ALA) was established on January 12, 2010, as a voluntary and independent union of the Municipalities of the Republic of Albania, with the mission of more autonomy through strengthening and developing democratic structures and mechanisms in the organization and functioning of the Local Units.
The ALA’s vision remains to strengthen the rights and freedoms of these Units as a prerequisite for the solution of the problems of local communities, being closer to them through inclusiveness and competencies in decision-making.
