Since January 2025, Sena has been working as a Project Manager Assistant at ALDA’s Vicenza office within the Environment Hub. She is also pursuing a master’s degree in Human Rights and Multi-level Governance at the University of Padova. With a strong academic background in International Relations and practical experience in human rights advocacy, Sena’s career has been driven by her commitment to issues such as immigration, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.
Before joining ALDA, Sena gained valuable hands-on experience during her internship with an organisation focused on fostering social and environmental sustainability. She contributed to a project addressing gender-based violence, supporting the team in its mission to promote gender equality.
Sena holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Bilkent University, where she received the First Place Undergraduate Thesis Award for her research on Turkey’s smoking policies. Additionally, she was an active volunteer in the Social Awareness Project, contributing to educational initiatives aimed at supporting children from rural communities.
Beyond her professional experience in project management and research, Sena is deeply committed to human rights and animal welfare, integrating these values into both her work and personal life. She also has a strong interest in photography and has completed advanced training in the field, focusing on both technical and creative aspects.
Sena is a native Turkish speaker, proficient in English, and currently working on improving her Italian language skills.
