This conference will mark the completion of activities that have lasted a year, in the Zenica region and local communities Zavidovici and Zepce, whose goal was to increase awareness about the EU enlargement and pre-accession aid, with special emphasis on the role of local governments and civil society in reform processes.

ALDA, as initiator of the Italian Alliance for the European Year of Citizens and member of the Steering Committee of the European Alliance, was invited to participate to the three-day event “Proposta 2013”.

Serbian Ministry of Youth and Sports will support the implementation of the LDA project ‘Welcome to Nis’. Official signing of the contract with the Minister of Youth and Sports took place in Belgrade on the 7th of September.

ALDA is now implementing in the city of Peja/Pec the project Youth wears Green, in the framework of the Youth in Action Programme and in collaboration with TcK “Tavolo Trentino con il Kosovo”. The topic of the exchange is the environmental protection.

On the 6-7 March ALDA held the Second of the four trainings foreseen within the THINK EU project, addressed to almost 200 students from the High Schools of Pula and Labin, in Istria, Croatia.

On 28th February Local Democracy Agency of Osijek organized in the premise of the Evangelical Theological Faculty a debate on the current issue of ACTA and piracy on the Internet generally.

The first of the four trainings foreseen within the THINK EU, addressed to high school students from Pula Croatia, was held on the 13rd March.

ALDA is more and more engaged in the promotion of volunteering, targeting primarily the younger generations in order to foster their active citizenship and their sense of belonging both to the local community and to Europe.

ALDA will participate at the closing conference of the European Year of Volunteering 2011 that will take place on 1 and 2 December 2011 in Warsaw.

“Get involved. Participate for Europe and your Town” is the claim of INTACT Project Summer School that will take place in Strasbourg from Wednesday 20th to Saturday 23rd, 2011.

On 17 June, the programme France-Balkans held their workshop on Youth aimed at further discussing the project submitted to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Regional Council of Auvergne.

LDA Central and Southern Serbia, in cooperation with NGO AssociaçãoMaisCidadania from Portugal started the new European voluntary service project “Share yourself” in order to promote volunteering experiences

Macedonian and French experts will host two day seminar on June 14 and 15 in Prilep, Macedonia. The participants and organizers will discuss the methodology, expectations and practices in youth information and policy as well as local realities and implementation.

The FFRM representatives, among who are the two dairy producers and a producer of apples, will spend 10 days in France to visit several farms.

The Macedonian delegation will be hosted from 4 to 6 April 2011 as a team of the Centre for Information and advice for the youth of Prilep, together with city representatives from Stip and Strumica interested in activities in this field.

In March 2011, LDACSS started to implement the project “Youth Cultural Club”, supported at the public tender of the city of Nis Council for Cultural Creativity in 2010.
