On 28 and 29 September 2022, ALDA team was part of the event on combating hate crime and hate speech at the European Parliament.

The EPIC project partners, guided by ALDA, will gather on 28 September 2022 in Amadora (Portugal) to participate in the second International Networking Path.

On August 19 and 20, 2022 in Brussels at Bois de la Cambre, ALDA took part in the Festival Théâtres Nomades and it was a big success! 

Aiming to encourage integration and social inclusion of refugees in the Metropolitan City of Milan through different activities, the project focuses on sport as a medium through which communication avenues can be opened between people, no matter their social status and background.

In a tweet, Antonella Valmorbida, Secretary-General of ALDA, re-stated ALDA’s position towards the war against Ukraine, underlining ALDA’s continuous support to the Ukrainian population and reiterating the willingness to establish a new Local Democracy Agency in Vinnytsia.

Sending inspiring and universal messages to the community, once again, about 40 youth with disabilities took the stage on May 31th, 2022, in Kairouan, Tunisia and presenting a great variety of performances. The event was organized by the LDA Tunisia within the project “Starting with You” for the rehabilitation of people with disabilities and their inclusion in the society. 

On 31 May & 1 June, 2022, the partners of the SMELT project – Skilling Marginalised people to Enter the Labour markeT, gathered together in Nicosia (Cyprus) for their third Transnational Partners Meeting, the first one face-to-face! 

From 6th to 8th of May 2022, ALDA joined the BUK Festival in Modena.  Dedicated to small and medium publishing and directed by Francesco Zarzana, vice-president of ALDA, this 2022 edition marked the XV anniversary of the Festival!

After almost 3 years of hard work, the partners of GEM IN “ Game to EMbrace INtercultural education” – finally had the opportunity to gather together for the Final Conference of the project, which took place on May 5, 2022, in Strasbourg. 

The Headquarters of the Region Grand Est in Strasbourg hosted the Governing Board (GB) meeting on May 5, 2022. Right before the General Assembly, and the Strasbourg Summit, all the members of the Board gathered together in Alsace to discuss several key aspects within which ALDA is involved.

The inclusive show entitled “Theatre for everyone”, organized by the LDA Tunisia took place on 30th March 2022, in the cultural center Chebika- Kairouan within the project “Je Repars de Toi”: Community-based Rehabilitation and Inclusive Social Theatre.

“Bored of Borders”: ACHIEVE (Awareness of Common History for Identifying and Extending the Values of Europe) project final event  took place from the 4th to the 5th of April in Vicenza, Italy.

Since the beginning of the war, East Europe Foundation (EEF), ALDA’s trustworthy partner in Ukraine, actively supports Ukranians who have been internally displaced, suffering from blockade or military attacks. To help address this humanitarian crisis, EEF launched the Shelter Project.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, ALDA has been in touch with its colleagues and friends in the Country, especially with the Local Democracy Agencies (LDAs) in Dnipro e Mariupol.

During this dark hour for Europe, we can share some positive news – the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, has been freed yesterday from captivity. ALDA celebrates this news together with Melitopol and all of Ukraine.

In Libya, ALDA is engaged in two projects: on women empowerment and capacity building for local authorities.

With much enthusiasm ALDA+ is organising, together with Hangar Teatri, a brand-new course training on: “European Project-cycle management”

The research paper, aimed at analyzing the needs of communities and community workers in Europe, has been released by the PIECE project’s partners.
