ALDA has launched a new European research study on participatory democracy and democratic resilience. Through its Centre of Expertise on Participatory Democracy, the initiative will assess civic engagement practices across Europe and develop evidence-based recommendations for EU institutions, local authorities and civil society, while inviting experts to apply for the research assignment.

The ROOT WB project brought together European policymakers and civil society leaders to discuss the future of civic participation, shrinking civic space, and democratic resilience across Europe and the Western Balkans.

The final event of the #Media4EU project showcased the results of the Eurometer 2026 survey, highlighting Macedonian citizens’ continued support for EU membership, evolving perceptions of democracy, and growing scepticism towards the EU accession process.

The final conference of the Shared Horizons project, held in Mostar from 10 to 12 June, gathered young people, researchers, cultural experts and policymakers from across the Western Balkans. Through dialogue, storytelling, cultural heritage and participatory workshops, participants explored new pathways for reconciliation, trust-building and regional cooperation.
