Lorenzo is “Italian Networks and Citizens Engagement Officer” and he joined the ALDA Team as an Intern in August 2024, with the role of Project Manager Assistant, to complete his second level Master’s degree in Participatory Planning named “ProPart”, at the IUAV University.
He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Philosophy at the “Sapienza” University in Rome, which he combined with Urban Studies following his deep interest in city development and bottom-up space shaping processes. This passion brought him to work as City Councillor in Rome and to participate in different projects for the access to the “right to the city”.
Strongly believing in the interconnection between local and global dimensions, in the past years Lorenzo joined different cooperation missions in Ukraine, working on local communities’ empowerment projects in close connection with the territorial stakeholders and international NGOs. He also collaborates with different Italian newspapers.
Lorenzo is a native Italian speaker, fluent in English and with solid communicative skills in Spanish.
Mohammed is the Project Manager and Coordinator of the Migration Hub in ALDA, based in Vicenza and managing EU Projects, driven by a passion for migration studies and human rights. He has extensive experience managing EU-funded projects like AMIF, CERV, and other non-EU initiatives. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Development Project Management, he also holds a second-level Master’s degree in International Relations, Cooperation, and Development.
Mohammed began his career in East Africa, working directly with refugees, migrants, and IDPs, where he built a strong regional network. He then moved on to manage projects across East and North Africa, developing project briefs and navigating complex funding landscapes.
In Italy, Mohammed worked with E4Impact Foundation on diverse projects across Africa and the Middle East. His skills encompass project development, monitoring and evaluation, budgeting, and strategic planning. He is certified in PMD Pro+, PMP, Spend Analysis & Budgeting, and Monitoring & Evaluation.
Previously, Mohammed worked as a Country MEAL and Reporting Specialist at COOPI and as a Coordinator for UN-IOM in Sudan. He also collaborated with the Danish Refugee Council on disaster response at the Sudan-Ethiopia border.
Fluent in English and Arabic, Mohammed is advancing his proficiency in Italian. He is passionate about traveling, diversity, and inclusion, and he leverages his cross-cultural experience and technical expertise to support ALDA’s mission.
Giulia d’Agostino joined the ALDA team in May 2024 as a Project Designer.
She graduated in International Development and Cooperation at the University of Bologna and holds a master’s degree in Project Cycle Management for International Cooperation.
Motivated since an early age by a strong sense of social justice and a passion for making a positive impact, Giulia has participated in several volunteer missions in Africa. During these missions, she engaged in various projects aimed at improving living conditions, healthcare, and education for local communities. These experiences have not only deepened her understanding of global development issues but also fueled her dedication to creating sustainable change through grassroots initiatives. Additionally, she spent six months in Ireland, immersing herself in a different culture and further broadening her perspectives. Giulia is a native Italian speaker and she is fluent in English.
Maja joined ALDA as a Project Manager in April 2024 and she is based in the Skopje office. She holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Art in Social Work and Social Policy from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University St. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje.She has a longstanding background in developing and leading programs for vulnerable individuals, including victims of trafficking and sexual violence, and addressing gender inequalities. Further, as the Program Coordinator of the Gender Budget Watchdog Network of CSOs in the Western Balkans and Moldova, she has consistently supported the CSOs in advancing their organizational capacities and skills for monitoring gender budgeting. Throughout her career Maja constantly advocates for the empowerment of marginalized communities, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights upheld.
Silvia joined the ALDA Team as HR Assistant. She holds a degree in International Studies from the University of Trento, followed by a Master’s degree in International and Diplomatic Affairs from the University of Bologna. In her latter academic career, she focused on euro projects, european integration, and migration policies.
Driven by her passion for travel and languages, she decided to undertake her first internship in Ireland within a non-profit organization, specializing in strengthening relations between the Latin American migrant community and Irish citizens. Subsequently, she did a post-graduate internship in Spain as an ERASMUS+ and ESF European Project Assistant.
In her most recent work and volunteering experiences, she has held the position of International Trainer, approaching and becoming increasingly interested in human resources. She has selected and followed numerous interns during their training abroad and contributed to the re-employment of migrants and people with employment difficulties.
Silvia is a native Italian speaker, she is fluent in English and French, and has a good command of Spanish and German.
Alessandra holds a master’s degree in International Science at the University of Turin. Previously, she graduated in International Studies at the University of Trento. Always interested in social issues, Alessandra participated in the International Civil Service in Colombia, working on a teaching farm. Later, she started working as a Junior Project Manager for a healthcare provider based in Rome, supporting the implementation of regional, national, and European projects.
She began collaborating in the Fundraising and Project Design Department at ALDA as a Project Designer in the fields of good governance, human rights, active citizenship, and sustainable development. She is proficient in Italian, English, and Spanish.
Simona Slavkova is currently serving as a Grant Manager at ALDA Skopje.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Economy University of Skopje. Her engagement as a youth leader in numerous Erasmus+ projects underscores her commitment to youth empowerment and cross-cultural collaboration.
Before joining ALDA, she worked as a Project Coordinator and Communication Assistant, gaining valuable insights into project management and effective communication strategies.
She has advanced social media skills, contributing significantly to outreach and communications efforts.
Anastasiia Buslaieva, originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, is a skilled cross-cultural mediator and simultaneous interpreter based in Vicenza, Italy. With a Master’s degree in Translation, Anastasiia brings extensive experience, including work at CCIPU Camera di Commercio Italiana per l’Ucraina. Fluent in Italian, English, Ukrainian, Polish, and Russian, she specializes in facilitating effective communication across diverse languages and cultures. Passionate about fostering understanding and collaboration, Anastasiia offers expert language services to bridge cultural divides and facilitate global connections.
Deborah is a Project Designer who joined the Fundraising and Project Design Department in 2024. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy and a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Multilevel Governance, and she is currently completing a postgraduate degree (Master di II Livello) in Law of Migrations. She manages proposal development processes primarily within the framework of EU funding programmes (CERV, Erasmus+, AMIF, Horizon, etc.).
Additionally, she serves as the departmental focal point for the Migration Hub. She occasionally delivers training sessions on project cycle management and EU funding programmes.
Deborah speaks English fluently, has an intermediate level of Spanish, and a basic knowledge of French.
Alexandre Météreau is ALDA’s Coordinator of the Youth Hub & Policy Officer in the Brussels office. He works on the 2024 European elections, the “Get the Trolls Out!” project, and the advocacy and outreach of ALDA towards European and international stakeholders.
Alexandre has lived in Brussels since 2018. Passionate about European politics and communication, he created in 2022 ‘The Beubble’, a newsletter for lobbyists and activists in the European bubble. His previous experiences include communication, marketing, and EU affairs roles in various organisations such as trade associations, NGOs, businesses, and consultancies.
Alexandre holds a double Master’s Degree in International Business Management (major in marketing) from Excelia Business School, La Rochelle, France, and the Alpen Adria Universität, Klagenfurt, Austria.
In his free time, Alexandre plays improvisation theatre and enjoys urban gardening.
Rita is a Project Manager at ALDA+, based in the Vicenza office.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Development and Cooperation from Turin University. During her studies, she participated in the Erasmus exchange programme at Bergen University in Norway and completed an internship at the IFRC in Sudan.
She has worked in the public sector, academia and social enterprises, as well as with NGOs, taking care of a wide range of management tasks relating to international cooperation, sustainable development and organisational innovation within cross-functional teams.
Having worked primarily in German-speaking environments, she relocated to Schio, her hometown, and joined ALDA+ in 2024. A native Italian speaker, Rita is also fluent in English and German.
Ginevra holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma of Merit in Foreign Languages and Cultures from the University of Venice. She specialised through two Master’s degrees in International Relations and Sustainable Development, focusing on European climate and energy politics.
Before joining Alda in the role of Project Manager in the Environment & Climate Hub, she oversaw sustainability projects for a big multinational company. Ginevra also worked as a trainee at the Italian Embassies of Tbilisi (Georgia) and Oslo (Norway) and at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change in Venice (Italy).
Ginevra has a strong passion for Asian geopolitics and culture. She loves going to art exhibitions and spending time in nature. She speaks 4 languages fluently (Italian, English, German and Russian), and has a good command of French.
Laura joined the ALDA team in December 2023 and works as a Reporting Officer in Vicenza. She obtained a degree in Languages and Business Communication in Verona, and with the Erasmus program she studied in Germany at the Universität Potsdam and participated to an internship project in Madrid.
Keen on travel, art and communication, she has many years of experience in the tourist promotion of the city of Vicenza, she carried out a volunteer experience in Ecuador and also worked in the commercial and logistics dept. of production companies.
Italian native-speaker, Laura speaks fluent German, Spanish and English and has a basic level of French and Russian.
Alice is Project Manager within the Environment & Climate Hub in ALDA. She holds a Master’s degree in European and Global Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences and International Relations both from the University of Padua. During her study career she had the opportunity to discover the Erasmus exchange programme at “Faculté Jean-Monnet – Université Paris Saclay ” in Paris, and she joined ALDA for an internship as Project Management Assistant with a focus on Migration and Sustainable Development in the Brussels office.
Her working career began as a Junior Project Manager in a trading company and then as a Project Officer in the General Direction of the Municipality of Venice, but her passion for EU funded projects was still there so she decided to come back and she is now Junior Project Manager at ALDA, based in Vicenza.
Passionate about sports, environment, and sustainable development, she is a track and field instructor and athlete.
Italian native speaker, she is fluent in English, French and she possesses a good level of Spanish.
Nadia joined ALDA as a Reporting Officer in 2024 and she is based in the Vicenza office.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies and a Master’s Degree in International Cooperation and Development from the University of Trieste.
She worked as a communication and fundraising officer in different NGOs and volunteered in Mumbai, India, thanks to the Italian National Civic Service. Beyond her professional background, she is keen to discover new places and cultures. She is passionate about nature and loves spending time in the mountains and trekking. She is fluent in English and French and has a basic knowledge of German.
Sara is a dedicated professional with a robust academic background in European studies and cultural mediation. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages from the University of Padua and subsequently pursued their passion for European affairs by completing a Master’s degree in European Studies at the University of Turin.
Throughout her academic journey, Sara demonstrated a profound interest in European affairs, concentrating on the intricate political, economic, and social dynamics that influence the European Union. Her commitment to the subject matter is evident in their research endeavors and active engagement in related activities.
Sara started her journey in ALDA as an intern in the Project Management Department focusing on Gender Equality, Inclusion, and Human Rights. In January 2024 she became a Junior Project manager!
Employed in ALDA+ as an Administrative assistant in the Vicenza Financial and accounting department.
She holds a degree in foreign languages from the University of Belgrade and she has gained work experience in a different sectors, especially in the transport and logistics sector as well as commercial sector and customer care, where she was able to apply her language skills and work closely with foreign clients and collaborators.
She has always enjoyed working with the public and taking part in solidarity and humanitarian initiatives.
She is Serbo-Croatian native speaker and she is fluent in Italian and English. She has good knowledge of German and a basic level of Russian.
Thibaut Guignard is a member of the Governing Board of ALDA. He is Mayor of Plœuc-L’Hermitage, a rural new commune since 2014, Thibaut Guignard, a 42-year-old Breton elected official, is committed to supporting rural areas and Europe.
Endowed with expertise in rural development, European fund management, and the implementation of projects dedicated to local territories, Thibaut Guignard presides over Leader France, the national federation of rural territories engaged in the European rural development program Leader.
Since January 1, 2023, Thibaut Guignard has been presiding over ELARD, the European Leader Association for Rural Development. ELARD is a European association that represents nearly 2,600 territories in 29 countries, including those in the vicinity of the European Union, which have adopted and are implementing the LEADER methodology for local development by local actors.
Driven by his European convictions and a desire to promote the interests of European rural areas, Thibaut Guignard is dedicated to developing decentralized cooperation with Central and Eastern Europe. In this capacity, he leads the France-Poland working group within the French Association of Councils, Communes, and Regions of Europe (AFCCRE).
With a dynamic and European vision of rural areas, the Breton elected official also co-chairs the European Commission of the French Mayors’ Association and serves as an alternate member of the European Committee of the Regions.
Since March 2, 2021, Thibaut Guignard has presided over the French Delegation of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe (CPLRE).
